Does golf lessons really help? & Golf-specific fitness is limited

 For many years I used to go to Phoenix, Arizona, between Christmas and the New Year, to visit some friends and relatives. Every year my friend Ray and I play golf at least 3 times during my stay and every year there is a competition to see who wins the biggest games.

Over the years, I think we were almost the same, we all had good games and bad games, but everywhere we won more games than Ray won.

One year I won all three games of golf and realized that Ray was a little sad. On the last night of our stay, we met at Ray's house for dinner and Ray said if he couldn't hit me at golf, he would hit me in chess. Well, I hadn’t played chess in years, but for some reason, I won all the games and Ray was even quieter, but we were still friends.

The next year, Ray called me at home just before I left for Phoenix. He told me it was our first game of golf at number one, early the next morning. After driving to Phoenix, knowing I needed to wake up early, I made sure everything was ready for the next morning.

The next morning I drove to Ray's house and when I arrived he was waiting for me and he really wanted to go to the golf course. He got his clubs in the car, got in the car and started putting on his golf shoes while I was driving. When I arrived at class, he made me leave at the clubhouse before parking the car and said he would meet me at the training ground.

After parking my car, I went to the clubhouse, checked in, got a cup of coffee, got my golf cart and went to the training ground. By the time I arrived, Ray had already gone through his worm drills and was almost ready to hit most of his training balls. He then told me to hurry up and put on my golf shoes and do some training pictures that we need to get started. I ask him why he was in such a hurry and he told me he just wants to start playing.

We usually spend our time, BS for a while, having fun and having fun. But this time it was different, Ray was very anxious and focused on getting started and I couldn’t help but wonder why. After doing about three workouts and swallowing my coffee, we went to the first hole. Ray said he wanted to play the first game, and I said goodbye because I had to lie down and wake up.

Well, I found out why Ray didn't say much and he wanted me to start that morning. He came back, did a little training swing, stepped on the ball, swam and hit the ball. I watched the ball take off and, after it looked like it was a match, he kicked the shot and continued. It was one of the best pictures I've ever seen, on or off TV.

After Ray had done it, I looked at it and asked him when you learned how to do it. He looked me in the face and said: I've been taking lessons almost every day since you left last year. He said he was so sorry that he knew what he was trying to hit me with, that it wasn't enough. So, he said, he has made a New Year’s resolution, knows whatever it takes, he will learn how to play golf better.

Needless to say, Ray was a lot better than he ever was, and for me, well, Ray had to wait for me on almost every level until I arrived. So to answer the question, do golf lessons really help?

I took a few lessons, so I managed to beat Ray most of the time.

Golf special fitness is common in the tournament! No detour! To play your best, you need to be in better golf shape! Golf is physical ... and requires both dynamic strength and flexibility.

Days go by from the 19th hole! That’s if you want to be the best dog in your quarters. Instead of going to the 19th hole after your walk, why not do some cooling down to prepare for the next round?

I’m not saying you have to be a fan, you just understand that there is a clear “physical part” to optimal golf performance. The body is in great demand to swing a club at speeds in excess of 100 mph and stay in the golf position.

A golf-specific fitness program that includes golf exercises and golf stretching increases your body's ability to produce incredible strength where it matters. on impact!

What is golf's special fitness?

I can tell you not to go to a gym and do a chest press. It doesn't mean spending 2 hours a day fighting. It does not lift heavy weights. But it requires commitment. Just like anything else worth doing.

That phrase, “if it were easy, everyone would do it” is so true.

The specific fitness of golf does not require heavy weights, but it is always a goal to develop golf strength. Being stronger in your golf swing requires a unique approach that is not achieved by a general fitness program.

The main focus should be on “rotating” strength and flexibility!

The golf swing is a high-speed rotary movement. The purpose of the maximum speed is to create a higher torque rate and be able to store and release it at the right time.

This requires a lot of pressure on the circulatory movements of the heart with stress. This is the only way to improve your back-up and track your range of motion and strength. These movements should be made sitting on a stability ball; stand up straight; entering the golf course; and even on one leg.

It kills me to see a coach flex her biceps with a golf client. This does NOT help you to turn golf. Check the position of your wrist when performing a normal biceps flexion. It was very strange (and uncomfortable).

Do you start a golf club like this? Then why would you do this exercise? If you were a golfer, you wouldn’t!

What about a chest of drawers on a car?

I've seen golfers in the gym doing this.

Golf is "on your feet", using all the major muscle groups in your body in a specific range of motion. How would a "sitting" chest press on a "controlled" car help you turn the golf ball?

Don't!

Golf’s unique fitness will make your body move hard through your 18-hole golf swing. Your swing becomes more consistent. You will add a lot of yards to all your clubs. especially your driver. And your injury event will fall.

Isn’t this reason enough to start a golf-specific fitness program?
